These Shots were made for Pinkstones Toyota in Stoke. Toyota supported our charity bike ride from John O' Groats to Lands' End.  They lent us a super Proace van which did 2224 miles from end to end -by the time we had ferried everything about and made lots of tea for the bikers. The boys clocked up 995 miles (counting a few wrong turns here and there).
The images are a mix of promotional shots for Toyota and sniped shots in mirrors and windows- the shots through the mirror were to record what I could see from the van in different locations- similar to the inspirational work of Lee Friedlander who often used a mirror to record his environment.
I prefer the photo snipes (underneath), as they have a unpredictable, candid, Forrest Gump quality- as you never know what you're going to get.  All shots were taken on 1/4000 f1.8 (100 ISO). I didnt have time to look and focus- so I relied on high speed to do the job- (from the lens- not the van :-)-thanks canon 50mm )- Most of the shots were either taken in the wing mirror of the van or from the side window
try to spot the cheeky rainbow in the shots below
Thanks for looking...
